Garmin Eldslóðin Rules
Garmin Eldslóðin Fire Trail – Rules
Rules for participants in Garmin Eldslóðin Fire Trail are based on ITRA guidelines for the organization of trail running events. Garmin Eldslóðin Fire Trail 29K, Garmin Eldslóðin Fire Trail 10K and Garmin Eldlsóðin Fire Trail 5K are mountain races. It is important that participants follow the organizer’s rules in order to ensure both their own safety and the safety of other participants.
The distance and difficulty of the races, weather conditions, and natural environment place high demands on participants. The organizer may postpone the race or change the course if the event cannot be conducted as planned. Participants decide for themselves whether to race in fog or other adverse weather conditions.
Participants are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the rules applicable to the race and for complying with them. The rules cover registration, safety, and participant welfare before, during, and after the race. The rules also aim to ensure that participants and staff protect the sensitive natural environment, that course selection respects vegetation and marked trails, and that no litter or waste is left behind.
